A FileMaker database, rescued off a vintage Mac

This office was still running its FileMaker database on a vintage beige G3 Mac — Mac OS, 10 Mbps networking, and no USB ports to get the data off. We stood up a temporary Linux server speaking AFP over the network to reach the old Mac, backed up the FileMaker files safely, and migrated them onto FileMaker running on modern Windows 11 — so years of records came forward without losing a thing.
